The album containing Dezső Bozóky's travelphotos (second). Related item: A.4760.2. (album). Unknown photographer. Photograph purchased by Dezső Bozóky. Seoul’s Sandong district, viewed from above, with traditional Korean houses and their courtyards, and Japanese-style houses further off. On the right, the Deoksu-gung palace complex can be seen behind an unidentified colonial-style structure (probably the German consulate, still working at the time), with the Korean emperor’s multi-storey, curved-roofed palace rising above all the buildings. The
towered building of the Russian embassy is also discernible at the foot of the hills. Other publication: Rossetti, Carlo: La Corée et les Coréens [1902]. Maisonneuve et Larose, 2002. 207.
