The flint pouch (Khalkha: xet) is usually hung on the belt of Mongolian men next to the knife and chopsticks. This flint pouch includes the knife inventory number HFM_65.92.1.1 and the belt decoration number HFM_65.92.2 . A leather bag with an opening lid on top of a thick curved steel plate contains the flint and a small piece of wool for starting a fire. The sterling silver bag is decorated with an engraved, braided tendril pattern. A hinged tab attached at the top, to which a silver button is attached with a linen ribbon.
