Museum Pedagogy
The museum pedagogic activities of the Ferenc Hopp Museum of Asiatic Art in the representation of Asian cultures make its activities experiential for children, youth and adults alike with a creative approach. The museum's rich program offering related to the given exhibition provides an opportunity to delve into the topic and arouse personal interest; for connection to kindergarten, primary school, secondary school and university education; it is also open to the challenges posed by individual needs. In the sessions, it is important to sensitize the participants to the topic and to accept the other person's culture based on understanding. Several sessions are of an art pedagogic nature, because the museum considers education through art to be its basic educational goal, strengthening its role as a cultural mediator with this sense of mission. You can not only take part in practical museum pedagogy programs, but you can also browse among the demanding museum volumes belonging to exhibitions in the library or in the museum shop: books presenting the exhibition material and the museum pedagogy book series can be an excellent basis for acquiring knowledge outside of Europe. The museum is also of great importance as a place for adult learning and recreation. According to this, in the programs related to the current exhibition, the experiential nature and interactivity can also be experienced for the adult age group. We welcome visitors from schools and educational institutions. We are committed to offer programs and services that are accessible to everyone.
