Museum Pedagogy Library Series. About Asian cultures for young people
Language: magyar
Series Editor: Fajcsák Györgyi
ISSN: 2064-1117
Starting in 2014, the Ferenc Hopp Museum of Asian Art launched a new type of publication, which aimed to present Asian cultures authentically, primarily for the young age group in a form of a Museum Pedagogical Small Library. The title, content and form were developed according to a well-thought-out concept: the hardcover publication, which fits in the hand, contains information that is easy to read and absorb, yet provides a wide range of information. It not only talks about the long-ago, historical times, but also introduces the reader to contemporary and forward-looking phenomena. The series of books for young people offers a glimpse into the world of Asian civilizations and cultures, in a non-traditional way. Through writing, language, art, holidays, and sports, the characteristic cultural character that helps to navigate in this diverse world is clearly visible. The illustrations of the volumes are basically made up of photographs of artefacts kept in the collection units of the Ferenc Hopp Museum of Asian Art. The volumes always end with a tale or story from a given culture.
In the framework of the "CreAsia" initiative, we are publishing museum educational resources to help our visitors, and especially students, to better understand the symbolism of Asian cultures and arts.
We are confident that these art education documents will be of use to visitors in various ways and forms. The materials can be downloaded free of charge in pdf format.
The following downloadable museum pedagogy support materials are only available in Hungarian.
