The flint pouch (Khalkha: xet) is usually hung on the belt of Mongolian men next to the knife and chopsticks. On the top of the steel part is leather bag with an openable lid, contains the flint needed for starting the fire and a small piece of tinder or flammable material. This flint pouch is framed with silver plate and topped with a small copper tab. There are four Chinese characters in the silver frame: Fu ze tian shen [Blessing coming from Heaven].
