Khalkha Mongolian men’s tunic

The tunic (halha: dēl, (дээл)) made of brown patterned woven silk. In the middle of each circular pattern is a simplified shou ideogram, surrounded by stylised plant motifs. Its collar and the borders of several stripes, with geometric patterns, are made of blue silk. The pattern of the inner border sometimes depicts the endless knot. The button tabs and knitted buttons are made of the same material.
