The album containing Dezső Bozóky's travelphotos (second). Related item: A.4760.2. (album). Unknown photographer. Photograph purchased by Dezső Bozóky. Well-off Koreans traditionally travelled on horse or in palanquins, with the entourage following the master or mistress on foot. Sitting in this palanquin is not a lady but a singer (gisaeng), who could be persuaded for a photo. Standing by the litter is her servant, while
the carriers pose behind it. This photo was included in most travelogues of the period. See also Hamilton 1904, 45. Title: Sie darf ihre Freudin besuchen.
