A typical 19th century bronze Buddha depicted with his left hand in a meditating posture and his right in the gesture of touching the earth (Skt.: bhumisparsha mudra). His monastic robe, his extended earlobes, his hair curling into coils, and the tongue of flame protruding from the top of the head are all amongst His prescribed attributes. The sculpture shows traces of black and gold lacquer.
