White linen slip dress with thin straps, buttons and lace trim. The object was a gift to the Hopp Museum collection from the Burmese delegate to the Peace and World Council Congress in Budapest (June 1953), the journalist Ludu Daw Amar (Daw Amah), an intellectual and public figure of great importance in the 20th century history of her country.
