The borderless thangka depicts Vajrapani dharmapala (Tib.: phyag na rdo rje; Mong.: Mutur-taɤan včir-tu/Včir-bani) in his characteristic posture on a lotus throne with his usual attributes. In the two upper corners of the picture, Lokeshvara (white) and Manjusri (orange) and in front of them on the right a monk presenting a sacrifice can be seen.
