Black and white photograph of the artwork Acharya Vajrapani (Mongolian Collection, inv. no. 88.23). The angry deity Vajrapani stands on a single-row lotus throne, in a position stepping out to the right, with snakes coiling under his feet. In his uplifted right hand he holds a vajra, his left hand in a vitarka mudra (argumentative hand posture) with a hook in it. On his head there is red, flaming hair, half a vajra in his hair, and a crown of skulls on his forehead. He has a demonic face, a third eye can be seen above his bulging eyes, in the middle of his forehead. Dolónnúr work, dated to the 19th century
