Cover image for an album of 15 woodcuts (Tranh dân gian Việt Nam nhà xuất bản mỹ thuật Hanoi - Vietnamese folk paintings, with caption, Hanoi Art Publishing House), originally donated to the Museum by Arts Publishing House Hanoi in 1961.
The engraving glued to the cover is an image, made in the Đông Hồ workshop in Vietnam, shows a boy stroking a rooster against a yellow background. The title is also a wish for good luck: it wishes its owner success and glory. In fact, the engraving expresses the full wish with the counterpart of the picture, a boy stroking a duck (Happiness, abundance).
This is one of Đông Hồ's most popular woodblock print subjects, an essential accessory for Tết (Lunar New Year) celebrations.
