The Amida Buddha (Sanskrit: Amitābha) is shown seated on a tall, ornate, tiered lotus throne. The face, chest, hands, and feet are golden. Behind the Amida are four tall altar decorations, also topped with blazing dharma wheels that symbolise the Buddha’s teaching.
