The name of goddess Annapurna means "full of food". In her left she holds a bowl, in her right, a spoon pointing to the earth. She is offering food to her devotees from the bowl with the spoon. She is seated in Dhyanasana. Her figure is framed by a horseshoe-shaped glory.
