This type of Balinese calendar (palelintangan) helps people to make certain sacrifices appropriate to their day, thus avoiding the bad luck that awaits them. Each day of the week is associated with a different god, animal, occupation, etc., which can be clearly read from the calendars. The theme is fixed, but some artists' interpretations may deviate slightly from the usual forms. The picture is in the Kamasan style.
