This batik-dyed textile, with a light background in typical Central-Javanese colours, depicts a famous scene from the Ramayana when the vulture Jatayus confronts the demon king Rawana (also known as Dasamuka) who is holding Sinta captive. The edge has a geometric and floral designed scroll, while the figures from the central field are depicted in the familiar wayang style.
