This figurine of a boy riding on a ram stood in the middle of a bowl with a rim bending upwards. The boy is holding the ram’s horn with his right hand and is turning his head to the left. He is sitting in a saddle. The dark green lead-glaze is characteristic of the Han period; most probably, the figure was made in the Eastern Han period (25 A.D.–220 A.D.) in a pottery in Shaanxi or Henan.
