A fragment of a Buddha or bodhisattva head set in an ornately decorated, arched alcove, bearing the distinctive traits of Khmer art. The diadem-framed face wears the empathic smile of the Bayon-style, while the lotus bud earrings are common motifs in Angkorian depictions between the tenth and fifteenth centuries.
