Maravijaya Buddha. Carved wooden removable Buddha statue (20th century replacement) seated on an ornate 19th century throne. The Buddha's right hand touching the ground (Skt.: bhumisparsha mudra), seated on a high throne in front of a colourful carved background with a shimmering glass (mica) coating, refers to the episode of the Buddha defeating the demon Mara.
