As if we were looking at an excerpt of a photograph, we get a glimpse of how this very important village activity, the coffee harvest, is carried out - as women and girls pick the reddish coffee beans from a ladder under the partial cover of a canopy.

Nguyễn Thụ is one of the most important artists of twentieth-century Vietnamese art, a former student of the first class of the Hanoi College of Fine Arts. The engraving in this photo is the 4th piece in his series.
