This cup, with side walls that slightly open up towards the top, stands on a high, round base and is decorated with birthday greetings. On the exterior surface of the cup, there are four seal script characters: 高山長水 Gao shan chang shui ’High mountains and long rivers. The base of the cup is white glazed, with a four-character cobalt inscription: 乾隆丙午 Qianlong bingwu ’In the bingwu year of the Qianlong reign’ in 1786.
