The pillar probably depicts Indra, king of the gods, based on his carrier animal, the elephant. On either side of the pedestal are seats, with a male figure seated on each side. Two female figures are also depicted, holding bottle-shaped vessels - they usually accompany Indra with bottles containing soma drink.
