Buddha seated on a low, ornate pedestal, with incomplete, broken headdress. At his feet, an elephant and a monkey offer their gifts. According to a related story, the master once retreated from his quarrelling disciples to the Parileyya forest, where he was served and fed by these two animals. The sculpture reveals iconographic features of the Bangkok (Rattanakosin) style.
