Retreating from the summer heat to the shady banks of the river Shijō, men and women gather in the evening on platforms that stand on stilts
above the water, merrily feasting and conversing. Lanterns with inscriptions hang at the sides of the platforms. The paintings bear the name Hiroshige in ink, and each features a red stamp. related item: HFM_1671
