Gate guardian

Carved wooden figure of a fanged gatekeeper (dvarapala) with demonic features. He holds a mace in his right hand, which is raised above his head and bent, while his left hand rests on the hilt of a sword slid into his belt. His right foot makes a stepping motion. The object belonged to the collection of Ernő Zboray.
