Following iconographic restrictions, this appliquéd thangka represents the deity and his pradnya in yab-yum position. They are sitting on a moon lotus. Guhyasamaja’s body has dark blue, while his companion has light blue skin. The three heads are of different colours: dark blue, white, and red. They both have six arms. The appliquéd picture is surrounded by a dragon patterned silk frame, decorated with fringe at the bottom. The dust curtain is undamaged. Four lines of Tibetan text can be seen on the back, written on a 10,5x65 cm piece of raw linen.
