In the picture, two men (and a man with his back) sitting on the ground carve cylindrical ornaments from elephant tusks. In front of them, on the ground, lies a Vietnamese-language newspaper. Photographer Miklós Rév took photos in 1959 in North Vietnam, in the then Democratic Republic of Vietnam. They reported on their trip with journalist Imre Patkó in their book "Vietnam", published in 1960. (see F. 2025.39.11)
