Khalkha Mongolian women's cap

The upper part of the 'yurt-shaped’ head covering (Khalkha: tōrcog) is made of patterned burgundy artificial silk, with a knot of red artificial silk at the crown and long red cotton threads. A broad band around the side of the hat and the seamlines on the crown are decorated with gold patterned artificial silk. The lining is made of black artificial silk.
