A bronze celestial musician/dancer kinnara (half man, half bird) holding an instrument, a vina. Suspendable. In Hindu and Buddhist mythology, the female counterpart of the kinnara is the kinnari, the two being the eternal lovers. Their paired figure often guards the wish-granting Kalpataru tree (see Candi Pawon, Borobudur, Java).
