Ceramic bowl with lid, a modern variation of the traditional Thai bencharong (five-colour ceramic). Richly ornamented with a blue ground covered with pink flowers and densely dotted green leaf decoration. The rims and base are decorated with gilding and the top with gilded lotus buds.
Traditionally used in the Thai royal court for storing food, nowadays as an urn for storing the ashes of loved ones.
