The appearance of two black fans in a bright spot on the right side of the background, which also highlights the figure, makes the picture look dreamlike. The engraving was a gift to the collection of the Hopp Museum from Dr. Tibor Bodrogi, a renowned Hungarian ethnographer and an expert on Oceania and the Indonesian archipelago.
