The Hyangwonjeong (Pavilion of Far-Reaching Fragrance) in the park of Gyeongbok-gung Palace. Built in the 15th century, the resting pavilion stands on a small island, accessible through a wooden bridge. It was Dezső Bozóky’s understanding that Min, the pro-Russian queen, was assassinated here in 1895, and her body was also burned. The queen was in fact attacked in a side building of the palace complex, in her own suite of rooms.
