Rice wine vessels and sets were popular in the Tang period (618-906) as well; they were found as grave goods in aristocrats’ graves. Archaeological descriptions refer to these sets as qixingpan, that is, “seven stars vessel”; they are seven-piece cup sets plus a trays, all coated with three-colour glaze.
