Dezső Bozóky hand-coloured glass diapositive. From Dezső Bozóky's Photographic Collection: Constantinople (İstanbul). Built on the orders of Sultan Mehmed II (The Conqueror), and completed in 1452, it served, in tandem with the Asian Fortress across the Strait, the naval blockade of Constantinople.
