Water gushes from dark rocks on the left-hand side of the painting, forming bubbles as it surges onwards. Five fishes swim from the right through the surging water towards the waterfall. A two-line inscription in ink can be seen in the upper right-hand corner of the painting, with the date and the name of the artist, and a red stamp.
