The Lao Buddha figure, depicted in a virasana sitting posture with his hands touching the ground, bears the hallmarks of mature Lao Buddhist art. The contours of the body are delicately rounded, with gracefully shaped hands, curved fingers, slightly receding fingertips and finely sculpted facial features. The large eyes and broadly splayed nose are clearly framed by high brow arches. The finial is adorned with a finial shaped like a lotus bud (szkt. chintámaní). The thin silver edging running along the bodice and the hem of the robe is particularly elegant. The photograph of the statue from the side shows the noble shaping of the slightly reclining posture and the characteristic depiction of the nose protruding from the face.
