Small scale depiction of a Lao Buddha seated on a red pedestal, marked with red paint at some places. The figure, seated in lotus pose and holding his hands in contemplative gesture, may have been a votive offering. The tongue of flame (Skt.: ushnísha) protruding from the head is broken.
