Carved, openwork Burmese sofa with removable seat cushion. Richly decorated with triple wavy lines and natural motifs (birds hiding in the foliage of fruit trees), the seating area reflects Victorian British taste. Similar pieces can be found in contemporary Indian furniture.
Damaged in places, the two front legs have been refinished with porcelain wheels.
