Buddha image with the right hand in the gesture of conferring grace (Skt.: varada mudra)The most characteristic type among the standing Vietnamese Buddha images. The chest is decorated with a svastika embedded in a net of jewels, the left hand in front of the belt holds the wish-fulfilling jewel (Skt.: cintamani). This type of Buddha image is often identified as Buddha Ratnasambhava ("Jewel Born"), one of the five transcendental Buddhas of Vajrayana Buddhism.
