The large scroll depicts the standing figure of Buddha on a textile decorated pedestal. He is wearing a red monastic robe, his right hand raised in a fear-relieving posture (Skt.: abhaja mudra) in front of his chest, his head adorned with a flaming gem (Skt.: cintamani). The background of the lower two-thirds of the plane is decorated with tiny flowers, while in the upper corners a celestial figure holding lotus buds floats among the clouds.
