Textile sampler

Vietnamese sampler with a Hmong collar or hem design. Raw cotton base embroidered/woven with silk threads. Diagonal texture pattern: blue-green border with purple-green floral motif, framed by orange zigzag lines and floral pattern. Colouring: aniline dye. Gift of the Institute of Cultural Relations, March 3rd, 1964.
