Stylized wayang figurine in a flower patterned frame, in vertical format. Its long arms, angular shoulders, profile face and disposition are all in line with the tradition of Javanese shadow-play (wayang kulit) figures. His jewellery, hip cloth (dodot), headdress, the humble, downward angle of his chin and refined features place him in the group of positive heroes of noble birth. The use of light and reddish colours on a black background suggests the object's Middle Javanese origins. Heavily fragmented and torn.
