The image shows the Historical Buddha (Sanskrit: Śākyamuni) and his two bodhisattva attendants. The Śākyamuni Buddha is seated on a tall
throne in the centre, his right hand raised in the gesture of dispelling fear. To the left of the main figure is the bodhisattva Fugen on a white
elephant, while on the right is the bodhisattva Monju sitting on a lion.
