Round, hemispherical lidded incense container (kōgo). The dark wood veins of persimmon are well visible under the lacquer. Made with gold togidashi technique and mother-of-pearl inlay, decorated with a motif of pine needles and small pine cones. The inside is decorated with scattered gold decoration.
Wrapped in a cotton cloth containing the artist's seal, stored in its own Paulownia box, tied with a textile cord. Storage box also marked.
