The octagonal tile is painted with carnations, lotuses, narcissi, so-called saz-leaves, and other floral motifs, arranged geometrically, while its edges feature a cloud pattern framed within red lines. Based on the style of the piece, it was made in Iznik, where the highest quality tiles of the period were produced for Ottoman sultans and other wealthy patrons.
