The image, made in the Ðông Hồ workshop in Vietnam, shows a boy playing the flute with a lotus leaf as an umbrella over his head, and another covering the animal's back as a saddle. To the music, the water buffalo itself raises its head and listens with delight. The caption of the picture refers to this: 'green leaves and pleasant music'. One of the most popular Ðông Hồ depictions.
