Dagger with a slightly curved blade. In some parts of Sumatra it is a ritual weapon for lower-ranking chiefs, in others it is considered a 'woman's weapon' because of its size - it goes unnoticed easily. The name literally means "pepper corn-crusher", due to the similarity between the shape of the handle and the object (Van Zonneweld)
