This intricately detailed painting of Ushnishavijaya, one of the three Deities of Long Life, celebrates the beauty of the goddess: her body is the colour of the autumn moon, and smiling, she looks at us with the three eyes on each of her white, blue, and yellow faces. She is dressed in silk, seated in a regal pose, and gracefully holding her conventional attributes in her eight hands. The gilding of the background and the secondary figures, together with the perfect use of colour, attest to the outstanding mastery of the artist.Thangka with border.
