The vajra (Tib. rdo rje) is one of the very important tools of Tibetan Buddhist ceremonies, which the monks hold in their left hand during the ceremonies. The branches of this five-pronged vajra start from the schematic lotus rings that fit into the spherical center. The schemitic shape of a makara head can be seen at the bottom of the four branches forming a lotus bud.
