Wayang golek purwa puppet from Ernő Zboray's Collection. The puppet wears a turban-like headdress, typical of wise, elderly characters, a closed overcoat with ornate trim and a batik sarong decorated with typical Javanese "parang" and "kawung" (wave and coconut palm) motifs. The rod puppet was probably repainted at the end of the 20's
